Early Fall shoes to rooms/life

With Fall just around the corner, who isn't ready for those darker colors? In Texas, however, I have to keep in mind the warm weather lasts even though the styles change.

Here are my three favorite "Texas Fall" shoes, and my three favorite upcoming Fall colors...

(1) Shadow blue~shoes by JCrew (and seen previously in black in their adorable short film with that adorable model) and the same tone casting a shadow over the house in Nola..

(2) Mustard yellow~ don't even get me started on my obsession with this color and these shoes. Shoes by Anthropologie. Love the color peeking out in the room and furniture too..

(3) Neutral neutral neutral~shoes by Madewell (my roommate just bought them and I may or may not be wearing them today). Love the simplicity of this color and the clean feel in daily life.

Out on the town sans boo boos.

Alright, who here is sick and tired of being in pain throughout the evening while wearing your "evening shoes"?! I can't stand it!! While you look fabulous standing still, everyone can't help but notice (especially if you blurt it out..) that you are in pain. Solution? Evening wedges! I will put them to the test during my summer weddings.
Again, photo taken on my new Ikea bathroom rug. What I love about wedges is their ability to lift you up while not bringing you down...lol.

Fight Night

Last week my coworkers and I were excited to get off early from work to....volunteer to work Fight Night. It's a local real estate fundraiser cocktail event and we were in charge of handling the cash. Every one of us in a different LBD with peep toe pumps, I had to take a picture for the blog.

And here is a photo of the ring at Fight Night:

Classic Peeps

Day 50...The week is almost half over, and my shoes are WAY beyond half finished. My current allergy attack is reminding me that spring has sprung, meaning it's time to rearrange your closet and put the spring and summer clothes up in the front to be worn.

These babies are from Nine West. I think I bought them at least...6 years ago. They have been worn soo many times, and are quite worn out now...is it time to replace them? I'm wearing them with a white skirt from Target and my favorite black tee from Club Monaco.

You've been Bitten.

Day 35...I feel like I'm running low on pairs to wear! I needed comfort but not flat, so I pulled these from the back of the closet.

I was told we get to wear jeans the rest of the week, which never happens. I'll take it! These are by Bitten, Sara Jessica Parker's line, which no longer finds it's home in Steve & Barry stores. I bought these for $7. Charcoal grey patent peep toe with a low heel, they are comfortable and obviously affordable. The inside has worn out a bit, but I think that's to be expected with $7 shoes.

Day 30...No thinkin' Thursday starts...NOW. March Madness mania ensues this evening...For now, here are today's shoes.
Steve Madden shoes I don't even have to tell you where these are from! In honor of the return of March Madness action today, I present to you March Madness Madden Mania. It's March Madness for the shoe maven...3" heel with a slight platform, linen and leather with stitching and tiny cut-outs, peep toe and Mary Jane strap.
"These are my new shoes. They're good shoes. They won't make you rich like me, they won't make you rebound like me, they definitely won't make you handsome like me. They'll only make you have shoes like me. That's it." ~From a Charles Barkley commercial for basketball shoes, 1993
What do you think? Will these shoes go all the way or lose out in the sweet sixteen? Vote below, "Keep", "Toss".

Green with Envy...

Day 24. I was thoroughly deflated when I arrived at work and realized I had forgotten to don my green on St. Patty's day! What kind of green do I have waiting for such occasions in my closet? Of course! SHOES. One co-worker said "Go home and change!!!" Riiiight...Someone even remarked "You're wearing a lot of black today, very unlike you." Thought I'd dress more fresh today. My co-workers persuaded me to wear the green shoes :)

I bought these at Nine West around this same time last year on super sale. Peep toe, Shamrock green suede, 3.5 inch heel, and pretty comfortable at that! Worn with Navy and white Lilly "pony dress". Opted to wear them on a Friday because I work less today, and with navy and white to tone down the green.

Let's start the bidding at...

Day 13...Cocktail shoes. Bow Ties. Little black dress. Fancy dinner. Auction Gala. This weekend I attended my Alma Mater's annual fundraiser/auction and chose to sport a sleek all black look.

The picture was taken in a dimly lit lounge. The shoes are from Nine West and I got them during a clearance for $40!! Black satin peep toe with a box bow on top. They are comfortable for an evening of working the room or people watching, and matched my black satin dress from Club Monaco perfectly!

Classy but sassy

Day 5 and I am ready for the week to end. Here at work we call it "no thinkin' Thursday".
My friend and I were in DSW gawking at these shoes in all of the colors offered. Each having a different color on either foot, we carefully planned out what occasion would call for what color, what color would be the most practical, if we could afford two so as not to make the decision.... I chose the red. The shoe is peep toe, patent leather, more of an orange-y red than candy apple, and the lower heel makes it uber comfortable. The brand is Adrienne Vittadini. What are your thoughts?
