Shoes to Room

The lovely Erin at Apartment #34 often does a "shoes to room" post, and I wanted to do it just once here. You know my obsession with these Anthro wedges... Let's see what we can find similar in a room view!

Out on the town sans boo boos.

Alright, who here is sick and tired of being in pain throughout the evening while wearing your "evening shoes"?! I can't stand it!! While you look fabulous standing still, everyone can't help but notice (especially if you blurt it out..) that you are in pain. Solution? Evening wedges! I will put them to the test during my summer weddings.
Again, photo taken on my new Ikea bathroom rug. What I love about wedges is their ability to lift you up while not bringing you down...lol.

Lift me up, wedges.

Yes, by now I have purchased new shoes. After the big purge I even had empty space on my shelves! I went to DSW last week (typicaland spent $0. I'm serious. I went through the aisles and a few shoes caught my attention but I thought back to my challenge, and to those shoes that did not make the cut, and it made me re-think my shoe buying habits. In my head, I thought "would these be voted off?" and ended up walking out empty-handed.

About a week ago I visited Corina in N'Awlins and visited a cute boutique called Shoeffle in Covington, LA where I've been known to purchased a pair or two. I settled on two pairs in the store, one dressier wedge for Shellie's upcoming nuptials, and one summer wedge that will go with just about anything.
Here are the summer wedges:

The wedge is a little glossy, and I think made of cork, which makes them uber light and airy. The shoe is made of a shiny linen, studded to the wedge. I took the picture atop my new rug from my Ikea outting yesterday. It lives in my vanity/sink area between my closet and bathroom.

What do you think of the shoes? Has my challenge worked to only choose worthy shoes for my closet?

Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?

Day 56...I start the day off with a joke. Today's shoes are the second to last pair of work shoes. I will not hide it, I love these shoes and have been waiting to wear them.

I bought these at JCrew when I worked there a few years ago. They were definitely pricey, but I did not care. Linen covered 3 inch wedge, orange patent leather. I am sure my cousin Julie will vote Keep on these. I am wearing an orange sweater and a matching bracelet to go with my shoes.

Easter Parade

Day 42...Happy Easter! I wore these wedges today with my Easter dress. My sister and I don't go for bows, bonnets, or frills on Easter, just something simple and new to celebrate the occasion.

I bought these wedges at Lilly last Spring. Wedges are so comfortable and I think these have just the right amount of bling on them too. Worn with long jersey dress from Target and an orange/yellow shawl sweater from Anthropologie. My nephew in church today said "that is a tiny jacket you have on!" Boys are hilarious!

Wedged.

Day 39...Happy Monday! Do those two words even go together...I had an eventful morning of taking my car to the collision center (don't ask) only after waking up late and then squeezing in a coffee run and barely making it "on time" to work...
I bought these in Italy over Christmas. They are a black (maybe patent?) covered wedge. UBER comfortable. Worn with my favorite black trousers, grey tee, and purple cowl neck sweater.

Mellow Yellow

Day 19...More weekend shoes....I went to a concert on Saturday night and my cousin snapped this in the line on the way in.
I took another picture in the light to give you the full effect.
I bought these at Old Navy over a year ago as a cheap summer wedge, and my cousin bought them in red. I wear them constantly because they are so comfy and bright for summer.

Just thought I should post some "weekend shoes" once again, so you can see that I'm giving them a fair chance as well.

Happy Sunday!
