Seeing Stripes, every which way
Oh Lent. How I love you. But I really miss shopping. Specifically when I saw this dress at Madewell and am dying to get it.
I am irreversibly obsessed with the trend of stripes. I love them horizontal, vertical, zig-zag, and diagonal.

Weekend of Epic Proportions.
See that hottie in the middle? Liza? Well she's getting married to one lucky man. We're all meeting in Florida this weekend to celebrate...and party like we're still in college. Maybe we'll bust out some awesome dance moves... But for sure we'll have an awesome time. I cannot wait to fly through this day and get to FL!

Wish List.
I have a bit of a wish list going, once I saw that JCrew had new arrivals.. I can't help it really. It all looks so appealing...is it because I can't shop? Is it because the sun is shining and the temperatures are rising? Could be a little of both.
Regardless, here is what I would put in my imaginary cart, if the sky was the limit. Sigh.
1. Stripe sunburst tank-love the wonkiness of those stripes! And of course any stripes in general.
2. What a cute laid back cardi, Sabrina!
3. Crochet is not just for grandmas. This is totes hot.
4. Remember how I said I wanted to get in on the motorcycle trend? Hel-lo what better way to do it than with an exposed zipper!!!!
5. I do love a good gingham.
6. I'm intrigued by these shorts...too poofy? Or just plain cute!
7. And the lace/eyelet trend. Don't even get me started on these babies.

Back
To say that I was running late today is a bit of an understatement, gov'na! (best line from Easy A). Our travels back from Capetown were challenging to say the least, and I spent yesterday un-burrying myself from emails and phone calls.
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring and totally hooked on these bold and bright colors!!

Spring will come!
at least I hope. I finally made it to work today, and the ice skating rink around Dallas has not melted one single bit.

I love the lip color...the natural palettes, the spectacles, the pops of color...
Drooling over JCrew's Spring Lookbook....aren't you?

here are some of my favorite looks....

Big Deal.
Have you seen the Madewell Spring Look book sneak peak? Pretty jazzed about the looks...I pretty much love each and every one of them.

In other news, my couch arrived today!! At the exact moment that I sat my tush in my chair at work, my phone rang to tell me they were on the way to my place...super. :)

How Tuesday: How to do a mini Spring Cleaning
Ok, I think it's safe to say that Spring is here. The showers definitely are, so that's a start! On this blog I talk about clothes, shoes, shopping, organizing...but what is really relevant today (and in my closet) is a little Spring cleaning!! Remember those winter and fall pieces that you hung onto in your closet to give them "one more chance" this year? Well, did you give them a chance or did they continue collecting dust? Then what are you waiting for! Those things had their last chance. It's time to move on, or make changes.
Check out those sassy sleeves!!!!!
How to Spring Clean:
1.) Go into your closet with an open mind, but determined to make changes.
2.) Take out the items you were holding another year and did not wear, lay them on the bed.
3.) Remove unused hangers and move to the end.
4.) Go through closet for the current season, making sure your pieces are still in style, or are timeless to go with anything.
5.) Now go through your shoes-what Winter boots should go to the cobbler for repairs? (I took a pair!) What Spring/Summer shoes need some attention before wearing? What shoes are out of style? Which pairs are you just plain sick of or are tired of the injuries they cause?
6.) Get out two sacks. One for donation/selling at a place like Buffalo Exchange and one to give to family/friends.
7.) Inventory items on your bed. Can anything be re-purposed? I currently want to take an old white t shirt (ooooooh or this chocolate brown one sitting in agony in my closet) and turn it into something like this: (Thank you Amelia for posting this, it's gorgeous and inspiring in more ways than one!)
Check out those sassy sleeves!!!!!8.) Separate items into your bags, and save the re-purposing items for your sewing projects!
Now, don't you (and your closet) feel better?
