Singin' in the Rain

Day 53...The forecast is rain and thunderstorms ALL WEEK so I don my flats this morning.

Stewart Weitzman pointed toe flats from DSW in tortoise patent leather in a Mary Jane style. Worn with grey pinstripe pants from Anthropologie and a yellow pullover sweater. I'm trying to feel springy today, but the weather is such a downer! The brick floor in the picture is my new condo, the whole downstairs has that floor! Notice the cat dish too...Calvin was hungry this morning.

Sparkle Shoes

Day 46...I can't believe the week is over! I've been doing massive work on my condo and, while I'm excited about all the progress we've made so far, I wish there were a couple more days left to this week!!

I have to admit, upon donning this pair today, I was semi-reminiscent of the 80s...Everything worn with lots of colors and something shiny...They were purchased from DSW super clearance rack and could be the most comfortable ballet flats, which is why they have stayed in the closet so long. Enough about me, I'll let you be the judge.

Goodness Grey-cious!

Day 36...these shoes have been around the block. Having only purchased them a mere 2 years ago, they sure have taken a beating!
I bought these at DSW (I sound like a broken record) with the beige/chocolate brown bow heels. The chain has come lose at the toe before and makes a jingling noise when I walk, but I have mended it back into place. I was digging around online and discovered another who is obsessed with grey here. She says "I love the color grey. I am drawn to it like a moth to light." I couldn't agree more which is why I bought these. I do tend to hold on to things past their life, so let me know if you think these should go because of that...

While I was searching for shoe inspiration I found that quote, but I'm sorry Vicky, I have to wear flats sometimes to give my feet a rest ;)

Bling Bling.

Day 34...fantastic way to start the day is wear black, and sassy flats.
Bought these at Nordy's with the gold bow flats and the beige-black peep toe flats (3 flats in one day, and not from DSW!!!) when I was on vacation. The white is sort of patent leather and the black toe is bling...

Go Tigers!!

Day 23...So LSU Tigers didn't make it far in my bracket selections, but these felines made it into my closet long ago.
A little tribute to Mike the Tiger, for all the LSU fans.
I bought these shoes in Rome with my sister a few years ago. I hadn't worn them much until recently when I got a few compliments from my coworkers when wearing them. They are comfortable and match anything. Worn with grey cropped JCrew slacks, turquoise Banana Republic top, black Club Monaco layering tee. Today is a long day, I'm going for comfort.

Big bows...reminds me of childhood

Day 22...I have to say, when I donned these shoes today, I was taken back to my childhood. Did you ever wear those HUGE bow headbands? The bow literally took over one side of your face. See if these are reminiscent for you as well:

I bought these in New Orleans with my friend Corina last year. We were intrigued by the bows! I had to wear flats today because one of my feet was hurting! These are obviously comfortable and coordinate with my dress from H&M and cardigan from Zara.

Here's what I mean by bow headbands:

I am pretty sure I wore these nearly every day when I was a kid. So now I embellish shoes with them! Things haven't changed much...

No venom in these shoes.

Day 20...Flats were an easy choice this morning! As I rolled out of bed, I knew heels were a no go and chose these...
I bought these at DSW around Christmastime because I was in need of work flats. Yes, I have other flats, but these are the only snakeskin ones! They are uber comfortable, were uber cheap, and are easy to match with outfits. Worn with JCrew skirt, Anthropologie tank, Zara Cardi, and some accessories.

Golden Girls.

Day 14...Daylight savings REALLY doesn't help make your Monday less painful. Solution? Don bow ballet flats. They're as classic as Golden Girls in Miami Florida.

Franco Sarto gold flats from Nordy's purchased with my sister and dad in Palm Beach. While we did not visit Bea, Betty, Estelle, and Rue in Miami from Golden Girls, we did go shoe shopping. These were purchased with two other pair, one being the peep toe cream wedges with the chocolate brown grosgrain detailing worn last week.
