Weekend Excitement

Last night was our second softball game (GO BEERS?!).

The other Lady Beers? (minus a couple all stars) agreed that we get very nervous going up to bat. Something to work on for the next game.

Here are some of my teammates (the girls rushed home for a cold shower). Most of them I've known since I was a kid and reconnected with, but all of them crack me up 100% of the time I'm around them!!


My cousin and her fantastically talented husband come this weekend for a visit!!!!!!!!! I'm also pumped because Chris is going to install 2 new toilets in my condo. haha...it's the little things.

On top of all of that...my nephews will be in town, so we'll have to hit the pool on Saturday. Here's Leo last year-fully geared up for the pool :)
Before my cousins come in town, I will be headed to an 80's birthday party at the roller rink...pictures to follow for that one. Let's just say my outfit couldn't get any better unless I found a magical sparkly pink scrunchy.

P.S. I TOTALLY went to Lady Gaga last night. Favorite quote: "Put up your paws!!!!" Whatever you say, Gaga....Fantastic show!!!

Gaga is among us. Making her way to Dallas today and tomorrow for some no doubt, fantastically zaney and out of control shows. I am super jealous to those attending and kicking myself for not getting tickets. At 24, she is on her way to becoming the next Madonna.

Bird Brain.

I can hear little chirps and louder squawks off and on at my house right now. This morning I had someone come take a look, and apparently they are chimney sweeps! I've never heard of these birds, but they look like this:

What's worse is they are babies, so for now, I sit and wait until they've grown enough to fly out on their own. Someone suggest I light a fire and smoke 'em out...I think I'll pass on bbq bird.

On another note, when I googled chimney sweeps, this also came up. I LOVE Mary Poppins, especially this scene!!!

Tigers Tuesday

I figure in lieu of the news article I read this morning, I'd set this post to the theme of the jungle cats. Not only am I skeptical of animal prints, but I'm skeptical about the point of this article that was posted about a "possibility of tigers".

Dog Days
