Let's start the bidding at...

Day 13...Cocktail shoes. Bow Ties. Little black dress. Fancy dinner. Auction Gala. This weekend I attended my Alma Mater's annual fundraiser/auction and chose to sport a sleek all black look.

The picture was taken in a dimly lit lounge. The shoes are from Nine West and I got them during a clearance for $40!! Black satin peep toe with a box bow on top. They are comfortable for an evening of working the room or people watching, and matched my black satin dress from Club Monaco perfectly!

A Need for Tweed.

Day 12...Happy Friday! Taking it back to our Scottish roots, the Harris Tweed trend remains a classic to every wardrobe. And now for today's shoes:

The original name for the clothe was tweel, Scottish for twill. Production dating back to 1830 with the classic blazers and trousers, and moving into the new millenium with Nike's limited edition retro trainers, twill is likely to be present in every closet. A vest, a jacket, a pair of trousers, or those retro trainers!

Today's shoes go well with tweed. Naturally from DSW, I bought them right before starting work. Two inch heel, light tan leather, chocolate brown stitching and grosgrain bow. Worn with JCrew tweed ruffle kick skirt and JCrew blouse.

"Too short? Wear big high heels, but do practice walking!"-Victoria Bekham

And I've discovered that I have a lot of nude colored shoes and most have been worn this week...I'll make sure to spice it up next week :)

O' the Foxy Flat.

Day 11 and O' my feet are tired. What would Jackie O' do on a Thursday? My co-worker though I should take a break from heels and rest my poor feet.

The brand is Linea Paolo from Nordy's, creamy colored patent leather, ever-so-slight wedge, chocolate grosgrain bow and piping, a slight peep toe. Worn with fanned kick pleet JCrew black skirt, chocolate JCrew cashmere sweater, and a little jewelry.

Jackie O' made her career as First Lady to dictate the fashion trends of her time. She stood out with the President and when flying solo. And she wore some fabulous shoes with those classic tweeds.

Tahari Mata Hari.

Day 10...this should be a challenging day at work, but I'll take my queue from Margaretha Zelle, a.k.a. Mata Hari, and don shoes that can live a double life---day or night, work or play. MH was known to pose in the nude, however I will merely post the nude...shoes that is.
I bought these at DSW (sensing a pattern?) with my sister for no reason in particular other than the fact that they are Tahari and were on super sale! 3 1/2 inch heel, nude snake-skin-like patent leather. I paired them with brown pinstripe pants and an orange sweater.

Beige...Basic or Boring?

Day 9...I am feeling a bit sluggish this morning. Today the post is dedicated to my sister's best friend, and my other big sis LE. It is her birthday and in honor of her, I will wear these shoes....I have to admit, she wanted me to don a slightly unattractive pair...she had doubts they exist in my closet! But, I do not want to inflict my opinion on unsuspecting readers....here we go...

I bought these at Marshall's right before starting my "big girl" job. Brand: Liz Claiborne...'nuff said.

Sunday Funday

Day 7...Just to prove that I'm wearing my weekend shoes...

These are by Simple, a company who specializes in eco-friendly shoes made out of materials such as car tires, hemp, and organic cotton. I picked mine up in San Antonio a year ago and treat them as my weekend sneaks.

Athletic shoes: a generic name for a footwear designed for sporting and physical activities, and is different in style and build than a dress shoe. Also known as: trainers, sandshoes, gym boots or joggers, running shoes, runners, or gutties, sneakers, tennis shoes, gym shoes, tennies, sport shoes, sneaks, or takkies, and rubber shoes.

Whether it's a brisk walk or a day for running errands, comfort always wins.
