Heels are a girl's best friend.

Day 18...TGIF!!! What's as classic as Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's? Black pumps.

Black pumps. They're essential to every woman's closet. I bought these at...surprisingly...DSW!!! I was on the hunt for black pumps since my favorites had been worn through. They are by Guess and are the epitome of classic pointy heels. One way to make a woman feel classy and sassy is to don her black pumps. When in doubt? Go for black.

Right on Target.

Day 17...Ahh the spectator shoes. I have a few pair. Fashion is no spectator sport. Where have we spotted spectator shoes? The polo match in Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts exudes preppy-feminine at the match.

sans tights:

Today's shoes are from Target. While most times their shoes are not the highest in comfort, these are. I need a low heel today, and I remembered these had not been worn. Black and cream patent with a T strap closure on top. I wear them to work, to weddings, to church. One of my favorite blog posters has the same pair! I wish I had her closet...

"Really and truly you can never have too many pairs; they are all different. You need a pair for every mood - and everyone knows that women have a lot of different moods."-Camilla Morton, Author of How to Walk in High Heels.

Guten Tag!

Day 16...to define the title, it means "Good day!" in German. I spent a semester abroad in Austria and picked these babies up in Germany.

Today I donned literhosen (alright, not exactly, just tights :)) with my German spectators since the weather got unexpectadly chilly this morning. I bought them on the way to Oktoberfest back in 2003 in Munich, Germany. The heel is pretty zaney, as you can see from the side view photo. But there's something about spectator-type shoes. Sophisticated, professional, yet slightly vintage.

Wild Thang

Day 15...not gonna lie, I was late to work today. In an effort to continue avoiding beige, I chose something a little wild...

I bought these at Marshall's when I bought the Liz Claiborne's. The brand is Tahari, patent animal print, 3 inch heel. But do they make my heart sing? It is difficult to sing anything when you're this tired. I promise to be more cheery tomorrow :) Worn with brown pinstripe pants and brown accents.
"We do LOVE animal print, but the key is to incorporate only one piece (a jacket, coat, skirt, shoe, dress, bag) at a time." -Suze Yalof Schwartz, Glamour editor

Golden Girls.

Day 14...Daylight savings REALLY doesn't help make your Monday less painful. Solution? Don bow ballet flats. They're as classic as Golden Girls in Miami Florida.

Franco Sarto gold flats from Nordy's purchased with my sister and dad in Palm Beach. While we did not visit Bea, Betty, Estelle, and Rue in Miami from Golden Girls, we did go shoe shopping. These were purchased with two other pair, one being the peep toe cream wedges with the chocolate brown grosgrain detailing worn last week.
