Your Love

I'm swamped this week....I leave you with one more song that has been in my head (it's even more lame than yesterday's, so deal with it :))

Maybe I need some rehab
Or maybe just need some sleep
I got a sick obsession
I'm seeing it in my dreams
I'm looking down every alley
I'm making us desperate 'cause
I'm staying up all night hoping
Hitting my head against the wall
What you got boy is hard to find
I think about it all the time
I'm all strung out, my heart is fried
I just can't get you off my mind
Because your love your love your love is my drug
Your love your love your love
I said your love your love your love is my drug
Your love your love your love
Won't listen to any advice
Momma's telling me I should think twice
But love to my own devices
I'm addicted, it's a crisis
My friends think I've gone crazy
My judgements getting kinda hazy
My steez is gonna be affected
If I keep it up like a lovesick crack-head
What you got boy is hard to find
I think about it all the time
I'm all strung out, my heart is fried
I just can't get you off my mind
Because your love your love your love is my drug
Your love your love your love
I said your love your love your love is my drug
Your love your love your love
I don't care what people say
The rush is worth the price I pay
I get so high when you're with me
But crash and crave you when you leave
Hey, so I gotta question
Do you wanna have a slumber party in my basement?
Do I make your heart beat like an 808 drum?
Is my love, uh your drug?
Your drug, uh your drug
Uh your drug is my love, your drug
Because your love your love your love is my drug
Your love your love your love
I said your love your love your love is my drug
Your love your love your love
Hey...Hey...
So?
Your love your love your love, is my drug
(spoken) "I like your beard"

Breakeven

Call me corny, but I love this song. The lyrics are so beautiful!

I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing
Just prayed to a god that I don’t believe in
Cos I got time while she got freedom
Cos when a heart breaks no it don’t break even

Her best days will be some of my worst
She finally met a man that’s gonna put her 1st
While I’m wide awake she’s no trouble sleeping
Cos when a heart breaks no it don’t breakeven… even… no

What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you and
What am I supposed to say when I’m all choked up and your ok
I’m falling to pieces yeah
I’m falling to pieces

They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding
Cos she’s moved on while I’m still grieving
And when a heart breaks no it don’t breakeven even… no

What am I gonna to do when the best part of me was always you and
What am I suppose to say when I’m all choked up and your ok
I’m falling to pieces yeah
I’m falling to pieces yeah
I’m falling to pieces
(One still in love while the other ones leaving
I’m falling to pieces
(Cos when a heart breaks no it don’t breakeven)

Oh you got his heart and my heart and none of the pain
You took your suitcase, I took the blame.
Now I’m tryna make sense of what little remains ooh
Cos you left me with no love and no love to my name.

I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing
Just prayed to a god that I don’t believe in
Cos I got time while she got freedom
Cos when a heart breaks no it don’t break
No it don’t break
No it don’t break even no

What am I gonna do when the best part of me was always you and
What am I suppose to say when I’m all choked up and your ok
(Oh glad your okay now)
I’m falling to pieces yeah
(Oh I’m glad your okay)
I’m falling to pieces yeah
(One still in love while the other ones leaving)
I’m falling to pieces
Cos when a heart breaks no it don’t breakeven)

Oh it don’t break even no
Oh it don’t break even no
Oh it don’t break even no

How Tuesday: How to wear one dress three ways (so far)

You know as well as I do that wedding season is upon us. I've actually already attended two (and a fundraiser) so I've had plenty to get dressed up for in 2010. The fundraiser came first, and I needed something to fit the "cocktail attire" requirement, and to coincide with the "safari" theme. I took my headband creating skills to create something to attach to this dress.

For starters...this dress used to be floor length and all dark green raw silk. My mom put a "short skirt" on the bottom so I could get more wear out of it through the summer!

1. Find a "staple" dress. I think it should be something other than black.
2. Find a "staple" evening shoe. I love bronze, and I love Seychelles, so there you go. I wear these babies all the time.

3. For the Safari theme, with the help of my uncle (shocker I know) and mom (thanks for the silk!) we twisted some knots and attached them to felt for backing. I added some awesome feathers and sewed it on the dress! Done!
4. For the second wedding of the season, I removed the Safari themed adornment and made a new one. Yellow zipper flower (similar to the zipper flower headbands I make on Etsy) with feathers in browns and yellows. My shoes were borrowed from my roommate....bright yellow peep toe patent! (She's asleep or I'd show you a picture).

and here's a pic of Maria, Anna, and me at Colleen's wedding! :) Love reuniting with the Zuniga gals. It's been such a long time since our days at college...

5. The next one? I'm thinking of bright colors like fuchsia and lavender for summer. I still have ... 7 weddings to go! :)

Did you do something similar with your wardrobe? I'd love to see it!!! Please share!!

Mondays

are rough for me. (isn't it that way for everyone?)

here is my nephew henry, showing his "mean face"...

Bicycles.

There's something so fun, fetching, and summer about bicycles. I feel like I was trapped under a rock during the Winter (I think with 2+ snows, us Texans have warranted the term Winter for once) and the sunshine is doing good to my soul.

In honor of the completion of the MS 150 (Yay Courtney and Kim!) and the fact that everyone is outdoors now that the sunshine is out, I give you: Bicycles!

If you haven't, mosey on over to the Sartorialist and check out his postings on bicycles. The first two below are my favorites of his.

Some cute jewelry

Baskets/Pouches

Even a bamboo bike!
