Goodness Grey-cious!

Day 36...these shoes have been around the block. Having only purchased them a mere 2 years ago, they sure have taken a beating!
I bought these at DSW (I sound like a broken record) with the beige/chocolate brown bow heels. The chain has come lose at the toe before and makes a jingling noise when I walk, but I have mended it back into place. I was digging around online and discovered another who is obsessed with grey here. She says "I love the color grey. I am drawn to it like a moth to light." I couldn't agree more which is why I bought these. I do tend to hold on to things past their life, so let me know if you think these should go because of that...

While I was searching for shoe inspiration I found that quote, but I'm sorry Vicky, I have to wear flats sometimes to give my feet a rest ;)

You've been Bitten.

Day 35...I feel like I'm running low on pairs to wear! I needed comfort but not flat, so I pulled these from the back of the closet.

I was told we get to wear jeans the rest of the week, which never happens. I'll take it! These are by Bitten, Sara Jessica Parker's line, which no longer finds it's home in Steve & Barry stores. I bought these for $7. Charcoal grey patent peep toe with a low heel, they are comfortable and obviously affordable. The inside has worn out a bit, but I think that's to be expected with $7 shoes.

Sunday Edition Trainers.

Day 32...Everyone has a time in their life where they either ponder or commit to buying Pumas. I did a double-take when I saw these at the San Marcos outlet a few years ago. Grey and lime green?! My co-worker and I were talking about how we'd be perfectly happy in grey and navy (clothing, house-wears, you name it) with maybe an accent color now and then. She said "like lime green". GENIUS! I was wearing these shoes when she said that today...
Enough about what I think, here are the shoes.

See you later alligator?

Day 31...Happy Friday everyone! The weather got a tiny bit cooler here so I am taking the opportunity to wear one of my last pairs that is slightly more on the winter side...
Jones New York shooties from DSW, (my sister yesterday said "What, do you LIVE there?!") slight platform, faux (definitely faux) alligator "leather", lace-up.

Since I'm working all weekend, I'll post some shoes tomorrow and maybe Sunday too :) Check back to see!

Grey's Anatomy

Day 28...Is it grey or gray? I can never decide. The weather looks a little Seattle-esque this morning, with some rain coming in it looks like.

Today's shoes are from (can't you guess by now?) DSW and are Modern Vintage (like Sunday's sandals I posted yesterday afternoon). Grey patent toe and heel and suede body. Thicker heel for comfort.
Worn with grey pinstsripe sailor pants, navy ruffle blouse, and turqoise cardigan. If I were a surgical resident like Meredith, I don't think I'd have a hard time with wearing scrubs daily, especially if they were all grey. I was tempted to wear full on grey from top to bottom, but broke it up with the blouse/cardigan. Grey is a fabulous color, often wins over black in my closet.

Big bows...reminds me of childhood

Day 22...I have to say, when I donned these shoes today, I was taken back to my childhood. Did you ever wear those HUGE bow headbands? The bow literally took over one side of your face. See if these are reminiscent for you as well:

I bought these in New Orleans with my friend Corina last year. We were intrigued by the bows! I had to wear flats today because one of my feet was hurting! These are obviously comfortable and coordinate with my dress from H&M and cardigan from Zara.

Here's what I mean by bow headbands:

I am pretty sure I wore these nearly every day when I was a kid. So now I embellish shoes with them! Things haven't changed much...
