Winning!

Well this post has nothing to do with Charlie Sheen (sigh of relief), but everything to do with the Super Moon hitting your local sky March 19th.

Read the story here, but the gist is that the moon will be a mere 356.6 thousand miles from our natural satellite, which "in terms of space distances is just a stone's throw away".

I'm no science nerd, but I plan on seeing this Super Moon. And I will admit that it reminds me of that scene in Bruce Almighty when Jim Carrey pulled the moon closer for Jen Aniston

Spots & Dots?

I'm totally digging the spots & dots combo.

These ladies (here and here) are rocking it well, and I'm tempted to attempt the same ;)

In general, I love mixing crazy patterns together (tartan and stripes, paisley and stripes...anything and stripes...) so I might as well try this. I am not sure I have any animal print though...and I gave up shopping for lent...

Hermes - fashion week

i didn't post at all about fashion week this year. i mean, don't get me wrong, i love it all, but i just was too swamped in my real life to dedicate postings to it.

but i will say...regarding hermes' look... if i had a bow and arrow on my back, it could come in handy quite often.

So my dad? He likes to wear these big tortoise glasses, right?

Well he's got several pairs. We (his three lovely daughters), decided to put try them on with him.

New Couch

It only took me a few months to post pictures of my new couch. These things take time! By now she (the couch) has settled in nicely. With fantastical ikat pillows from World Market, an old quilt from mom, and some funky lamps (red tall one from Ikea, clear one with red cord from CB2), the couch feels right at home.

Remodel.

So, pardon the iPhone photos, but something exciting is going on in my condo!!! My uncle tore out the wet bar (it was pretty wretched looking, and poorly constructed) and we've picked out tile and sink/faucet so far for the re-installation. He'll be making a new cabinet, and new shelves.

We'll use three high of this as the back splash...

And this will be the counter top!! (so excited)

And this is Calvin in the early morning. Obviously nothing to do with the remodel, except for the fact that he's glad that the demo work is over, so he can go back to eating peacefully.

ps apologize for the delayed post. Internet was down for an hour this morning...obviously we're all hooked because it became quite the social hour.
