You look like a young Imelda Marcos

Day 57...The final day of work shoe posting!
This pair warrants the final slot in the challenge. They are Prada from DSW. I said it: PRADA from DSW! I nearly spent a great deal more on them, but patience paid off when they were moved to the clearance section last fall. White fading into orange patent leather peep toe chunk heels. Heaven!

Imelda Marcos was the first lady in the Philipines in 1965, as wife to Ferdinand Marcos. What she is most known for is her massive shoe collection, which included over 2,500 pairs. If she changed shoes three times a day and did not repeat any, it would take nearly 2 1/2 years to get through them all. Imagine what a blog she would have! Not only was Imleda ranked 58th in the "100 Most Powerful Women in the World", but she coined the phrase imeldific to boot! I don't believe my shoe collection deserves the title imeldific yet.

“I did not have three thousand pairs of shoes. I had one thousand and sixty.” -Imelda Marcos

“Terrorism, hurricanes, and acts of God can’t part a true Imelda from her shoes,”- Jane Blahnik
